Storage
With all of our content moving over from the physical world to the virtual world the need for storage (that’s accessible) is becoming very important.
For most households an external USB drive or writable dvd/blue rays are all they want and need to connect/insert in to the house PC, but when it comes to your NodeCentral set up you would be wise to go for something a little more complete.
Considering the desire for your NodeCentral to be the epicentre of your home and digital world, a network based storage set up is my recommendation. There are a number of products on the market, I personally have gone for a ReadyNAS DUO although I have run a FreeNAS DIY set up before and both work well. The challenge is often the services that you set up and run with them that can sway your decision e.g DLNA etc.
